A Clean & Simple Card - Fred She Said Digi

Donna is in Nashville at their conference until Wednesday so I have Jacob & Buttons with me.  I believe Buttons thinks she belongs to me.  We have a time of settling down at night where we sit on the bed & watch TV.  Max has come to expect this & Buttons is getting accustomed to it now.  They both cuddle up to me & sleep for a while before they have to go to their crates.  Little fur babies.

I want to share this card with you. I made it for a friend who has not been feeling well lately.  I won some digis on Through The Craft Room Door from Fred She Said.  I love this one that is pre-colored.  It made this card very easy to make.  They even had the background shaded.  The flowers at the bottom are another part of the file.  I opened them in Silhouette Studio software and traced them and cut them out with my Cameo.  Such a neat feature.  I embossed the card base with a Anna Griffin Cuttlebug folder.
I added a row of the pansies to the inside of the card.

I thank you for visiting with us today.  Your support means so much to us.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

My First Easter Card - 2014

Today has been a very crafty day.  I got up earlier than usual, had my devotion and got to crafting around 10:00 am.  I got 3 cards made much to my surprise.  This is my first Easter card.  I know I've said this before but I think Easter is my favorite holiday because of what it stands for.  Without the death and resurrection of our Lord & Saviour we would have no hope in this life or the life after death.  Thank you, Jesus for what you've given us.

I found this digistamp while searching for something else today.  It was created by Sans Designs and it has a 2011 date on it.  I'm pretty sure I have never used it.

Card Supplies:
5X6.5" Card Base
Digital Image - Easter Eggs by Sans Designs
Cuttlebug Folder for card embossing
Label - Silhouette Cameo Cut File.  I added the wording to it in Silhouette Studio Design Software
Promarkers used to color image:
Eggs - Powder Blue, Cornflower, Tea Green, Grey Green, Rose Pink
Ribbons - Tulip Yellow, Buttercup
Flowers - Fuschia Pink & White gel pen
Leaves - Leaf Green, Forest Green, Lime Zest
Stickles - Yellow & Crystal
Ink for inking edge of label

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you will come back tomorrow for my DT card for the Paper A La Mode Challenge.  It's a cutie if I do say so myself.  God Bless You!!!!  Peggy

The Start of a Project

I've been working on my craft room to coordinate more of the things in it.  I decorated my machines the other day and bought a few containers to matchStill want to do a few things but have to work on them as I have time.  One thing I have in my head is to make a wall hanging or picture using a digistamp I got from Priscillastyles.  It is called Craft Bug. I increased it's size  big enough to take up an 8X11.5 sheet of cardstock.  I colored it today in preparation to make my picture.  He will be the focal point in it.

If you want to make one with me, go get your digi and get him colored.  I will be back later to finish it.  These are the colors I used to color him.
Promarkers:
Lime Zest, Lime Green, Primrose, Magenta, Duck Egg, Cool Aqua, Tan, Light Peach, Peach.  I used a silver metallic gel pen for the scissors.

I think he will look cute hanging on my wall because, let's face it, we've all been bitten by the Crafting Bug.  I believe I know some who have a terminal case.  LOL

Thank you for visiting with us today.  When you pray would you please ask the Lord to touch Jacob, my grandson, Donna's son.  He is sick with his asthma again.  Every time the seasons change, he & Donna have problems breathing.  Thank you & God Bless You!!!! Peggy

A Quick Easel-Bird's Cards

Today I'm sharing a quick easel file.  It came from Bird's Cards.  She has a lot of free cut files on her site.  Most all of them come in Make The Cut, SVG, Studio and several other formats.  This particular file she calls a Stand Cut File.  It's very simple to make.
Here's a picture of the finished product.

Here are some pictures of the stand as I cut it out and assembled it. If you have a Cameo or the new Cricut Explore that will cut svg files, Bird's Cards is a place you will want to follow.

Here is the stand with a card on it.  You might want to use heavy cardstock and maybe a bit bigger than what I made it, although it holds this 5X7 card quite well.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have wonderful week & that every day is filled with joy, peace & love.  God Bless You!!! Peggy

Paper A La Mode Challenge - Make A Shaped Card

Our theme this week at The Outlawz PAM Challenge is to Make A Shaped Card.  Our sponsor is Sassy Design Studios. I rarely make a shaped card even though I love them.  It's just easier to stick to the kind.  But I must confess I enjoyed making this one.

I saw the tutorial for this one at Beccy's Place.  When I saw it I knew I would have to make it.  It is called Double Shutter Card.  I also used Beccy's digistamp "Peony".  The covering on the shutters is DCWV Adhesive Fabric Paper.  I bought this a long time ago so I don't know if they even make it anymore.  It's actually fabric.  The corners on the center section is a free cut file from svgcuts.com.  The digistamp is colored with Promarkers.  I added some bling butterflies & flourishes.

I hope you will join in this challenge.  It should be a lot of fun.

Thanks for stopping by today.  We enjoy reading  your comments.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

A Little Vinyl Decorating

Ever so often I get a notion to try something new.  I have had my E2 ever since they came out and I have wanted to decorate it but never took the time.  I got my Cameo last year.  I saw a post the other day featuring a cut file for the cameo control panel.  I bought the cut file and found some paper that matched other things in my craft room.  I cut it out, took the plastic off the control panel, put the cut out in and replaced the plastic.  Twa La.  Doesn't it look better?

Well, I liked it so well, I decided to decorate the rest of the Cameo. I have some white adhesive vinyl I got when I purchased my Imagine (which I don't have any more.)  So I chose some flourishes & the word Create from the Silhouette Online Store.  They were cut files so I added the color I wanted and cut them out. I really like the way it turned out.
Well, now that got me going.  I decided to decorate my E2 and my computer.  I'm sort of OCD like that.  All these cuts are Silhouette Studio files.

Donna wants help decorating her machine now.  She has dropped hints to that effect. She's not very subtle. LOL  She still has her Imagine so we can choose images from Cricut or Imagine cartridges and print & cut them on the Imagine.  Or we can use Silhouette files.

Thanks for stopping by today.  If you haven't decorated your machines yet, give it a try.  It's fun.  Please come back tomorrow.  It's Paper a la Mode Challenge so I'll have my DT card.  God Bless You!!!!! Peggy

You Are My Sunshine - Sophie Cricut Cartridge, The Paper Shelter

Hi Everyone!

My mom recently won a challenge that awarded her some digital stamps from The Paper Shelter.  Oh My Goodness, we didn't know that website existed but their digital stamps are absolutely beautiful.  They are the type of digis that I love to work with so if you've never visited that site, here is the link: THE PAPER SHELTER.  You'll find something that you like, I'm sure!

For the card I made today, I used the Funny Sunflower digi.  I just love Sunflowers - they make me think of Spring and Summer.  I colored two of the same digi with the following Promarkers:

Flower - Sunflower (HA), Gold, Tulip Yellow, Orange
Butterfly - Amethyst, Purple
Stem/Leaves, Grass - Pear Green
Snail - Soft Green
Lady Bug - Red, Cool Grey 4

I cut the face off the flower out so that I could pop it on top of the other face for dimension.

I used my Cricut Expression to cut the Yellow cardbase using the Sophie Cricut Cartridge - Card 2 on Page 48.  I cut the card to the dimensions of 6.5 x 10.  I mount the digi to yellow chalkboard paper and then attached it to a piece of blue woodgrain cardstock.  I tied ribbon around the blue cardstock and hung a flower charm from the ribbon.  I also cut another piece of blue cardstock and attached to the inside of the card to show through the flowers on the side of the card.

I think the card turned out really cute and can be used for a Birthday Card, Just Because Card, or a Get Well Card.  Thank so much for stopping by today - we appreciate your visits and your comments.  Please stop by tomorrow - Mom has been playing with vinyl and you will LOVE what she's done to her machines.  She's going to make something for my machines too (HINT, HINT)!!

Until another day, God Bless You!!  Donna

The Paper Shelter - Good Girl

I thought I would do a card today with another digi I got from The Paper Shelter.  They have some really cute images.  I hope you will go check them out.  If you love digital images, you'll love The Paper Shelter.  When  I saw this digi it reminded me of Donna & her little miniature Yorkie, Buttons.  I tried coloring it to look like them.  When Donna holds Buttons close to her hair, Buttons is the same color.  We've laughed several times about that.

Card Supplies:
5X6.5 Card Base
Background paper - Reflections at Michael's.  I don't know the name.  Donna & I share this pad of paper & she has the cover.
Digital Image - "Good Girl" by The Paper Studio

Skim - Satin, Sunkissed Pink

The Paper Shelter - The Florist

Today was a true taste of Spring.  It hit 71 degrees here in North Georgia.  It felt really nice outside.  I hope it's not getting warm too quickly.  Sometimes that happens and all the trees & flowers bud, then we get another frost and they get frost bitten.  I loved the sun shining through my craft room window.  This is a card I finished today.

I used one of the digistamps I won from The Paper Shelter.  She is called The Florist.  The Paper Shelter is having a Design Team call right now.  I created this card with the thought of entering.  Either way I love this little digi.  I think this card can be used for many occasions, birthday, get well, thinking of you, friendship, etc.
